One of those 'rude not to' sessions.
Got to the Bay just as Francis (Golden Ticket himself) and John were packing up, and they tell me it'd just dropped .... typical !!
Spotted the sailor formally known as Big Al rigging up his formula kit outside his house, and that looked to be the right call ..... if you have big kit to hand.
Sadly this is the year that I opted out of race kit as knew time would be against me to use it in anger .... so ... rigged my trusty 5.9m Duke and plugged it into the Fly 10'0, jumped into summer suit and got on with it.
Was hopign that as the tide dropped the waves would sit up a bit, and to be fair they did a little ... but not as much as hoped. Easterly usually brings some waves, but not a lot going off today.
At least I was fine staying upwind with wind and tide heading westward .... and Al the unsociable git too ... ;-)
Packed up just after 8, and got a fish n chip supper before heading home.
Lovely summer like session, nothing manic, just a chilled out SUP-sail (though the wind did fill in a bit for the last hour and the Fly was planing on and off)
Need some proper wind to be honest, but it was really nice to be out on the water.
